Divisions

There are 3 divisions of Jack and Jill, and there is no entry fee to compete. A Jack and Jill is a contest where dancers are randomly partnered together. There will be prelims and finals for Amateur and Advanced.

  • Amateur: For Novice and Intermediate dancers. No Professionals. If anybody calls you a sandbagger do Advanced.

  • Advanced: For Advanced and Professional dancers who are not on the Invitational list.

  • The Invitational is the first-ever of its kind for Lindy Hop. A list of professional and champion Lindy Hoppers were e-mailed a ballot to vote for up to 15 dancers that they would want to draw in an Invitational Division. These votes were tabulated to determine the list of dancers and alternates for the Invitational Division.
